Made in the Shade

While we're on the subject of window treatments, I thought it would be fun to take a look at my favorite type. They are referred to a few different ways from bamboo blinds to matchstick shades but the result is always the same: chic and simple. The best part is that they work in a wide variety of rooms and look just as great alone as they do framed by beautiful drapes.  Actually, if you plan to use them in a bedroom, it helps to also hang drapes with a black out lining since the shades usually don't completely shut out the light.  I know this because the sunshine filters through mine and wakes me up in the morning. Enjoy!
