Parade's End

What are we supposed to do now that awards season and Downton Abbey are over?  I supposed we should go out for some fresh air and exercise or we could stay home for three more nights watching Parade's End on HBO.   The Tom Stoppard written five part mini-series starts tonight and runs through Thursday. It's based on the Ford Maddox Ford tetralogy (four related novels - you just learned a new word!) from 1924-1928.  Like Downton Abbey, it's an Edwardian period piece that deals with World War I and the changes that it will bring to Great Britain and Europe. Parade's End is also set in a grand manor home so it will be worth watching for the interiors but stars the acclaimed actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall among others who deal with the drama. The best part about it airing on HBO is that if you miss it, you can watch it on demand anytime. Looks like you might be able to get some fresh air after all.
