My favorite events each year are those that benefit charity and partner with designers. They always seem to bring out the most creativity and this year's DIFFA Dining by Design was no exception. I just realized that I've been covering DBD as they call it since 2009 and each year, the tables just keep getting better and better. This year, they decided to mix things up and moved the Gala Dinner to Thursday night and the Cocktail by Design event to Saturday night. I think that meant a lot less people hungover at work on Friday.
I was honored to be a guest of Manhattan magazine and Fendi Casa at the Gala Dinner. Their table was designed by Inson Wood and was definitely on trend for spring with its black and white striped walls. Of course, the furnishings were all Fendi Casa. I was seated next to interior designer Robert Couturier and definitely have a new design crush. More on that later. It was a really fun night that raised lots money. What could be more chic than that right?!

If this photo looks weird, it's because I had to shoot between two sheets of plexiglass to get a photo of the back wall.
